Industrial Design is a living, breathing community.

Being a part of this community is one of the most fulfilling feelings. My passion areas lie within teaching people about the possibilities of design and in helping to organize events that celebrate and promote diversity and equality within our industry.

Each image below has a team of incredible and inspiring people behind it, proving that collaboration is the key to success.

Women in ID

WIID is helping to bolster the community of female-identifying industrial designers, empowering women in their careers, and closing the gender gap in the design industry.

When WIID put out a call for women to join their cause, I jumped at the opportunity. I am proud to be a member of their Panelist Team, which is responsible for providing content in the form of personal experiences, advice, and back stories.

Northern Lakes

Northern Lakes is a chapter of the Industrial Designer’s Society of America (IDSA) and is based in the metropolitan areas of Minnesota and WIsconsin.

Joining the Northern Lakes team allowed me to contribute directly to my immediate design community, engage with local design programs and firms, and learn to host and create engaging events.

Advanced Design

What began as a sketching workshop has since expanded into a collective of individuals dedicated to pursuing design education outside of the classroom.

My role within AD was a fluid one; From interviewing industry professionals for the AD podcast, Context, to leading workshops and aiding AD’s Offsite initiative by becoming a member of their Experience Team, I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with and learning from the wonderful designers that make up Advanced Design.
